Hayao Miyazaki's 1988 film
My Neighbor Totoro is arguably one of his most memorable
Studio Ghibli productions. And, obviously, it had quite an impact on
Kevin "Klav" Derken who paid homage to it by creating the rough likeness of the Totoro creature in a
Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K) inspired robotic style. Designed, built, and cast in resin by Derken, these "Ma.Koro" creations are available in four different classic Ma.K paint schemes: the stripe adorned Fliege, the desert camoflague decorated Gladiator, the dirty white Polar, and the traditional camo coated Raptor. Each roughly 3-inches tall, these are available now from Derken's
Creeping Death Robot Club shop for $50 apiece or you can even snag unpainted ones for only $10!
