Fools Paradise has spent the majority of the last year exploring their pop art parodies of
Star Wars and
Batman, though now Alan Ng's artistic brand has released a perfect interpretation of Michael Jordan wearing his Chicago Bulls #23 jersey. Titled "Three King Two Three", this 13-inch tall figure is made from soft vinyl and PVC, featuring six basketball accessories and two interchangeable heads — one with horns and one without, both featuring ball-joint articulation! As for where the mysterious title comes from, the "Two Three" part would be the jersey number but the "Three King" beginning denotes Jordan's placement in one of two legendary NBA star lists… alongside Kobe Bryant & LeBron James in more recent years, or with Magic Johnson & Larry Bird in years past. Assuming the series continues, we'll find out which "Three King" grouping we're dealing with soon enough… "Three King Two Three" is limited to a maximum of 399 pieces, all made to order, with the reservation period beginning tomorrow (December 13th) at 8am Pacific time and lasting until December 29th, 2016 at the same time. Reservations can be placed on the
Fools Paradise website during those dates for $249 apiece, with pieces expected to ship in the 2nd quarter of 2017.
