KAWS's "Companion" Returns in its Muppet parody form with a Black "BFF" Edition!

We'd previously announced that Brooklyn-based artist Brian Donnelly, better known as KAWS, will have a comprehensive overview of his his entire 20-year career at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, titled Where the End Starts. In addition to a monograph hardcover, currently available to preorder, made especially to support the exhibit, it appears that we're getting a bit more designer toy goodness from KAWS as well… Pictured above is Pharrell Williams taking to Instagram to show off the upcoming version of Sesame Street Muppet-inspired "BFF" plush made for the exhibit! Extremely similar to the original version, I actually think that the black base and pink nose make this form a bit more striking… even if it loses the Cookie Monster like appearance a bit. These 20-inch tall pieces will, most likely, be limited to 1000 copies worldwide and available around the opening of the exhibit on October 20th, though they could be released any time before the January 22nd, 2017 close date.
