Remember when
we announced Jim McKenzie's
Lost Magic solo exhibition earlier this year? A gorgeous exploration of McKenzie's fantastical creations, one of the works was the below-pictured epoxy clay sculpture "The Scarecrow," inspired by the character from
The Wizard of Oz. And it seems like our eyes aren't the only ones that McKenzie's work caught the attention of, as
ToyQube have been working on a 10-inch tall resin sculpture rendition of the piece (pictured above & left). Set to make its debut at New York Comic-Con, and as you can see, the final piece is painted up to perfection... very similar to the finished work below! Limited to an edition of 180 copies at $165 apiece, these beautiful works will be available from ToyQube's NYCC Booth #121, which McKenzie himself will be signing at on Friday (October 7th) at 2pm. Those unable to attend the convention will have their chance to snag one online on Monday, October 10th, 2016 at 9am Pacific time at
jimmckenzie.net and
toyqube.com.
