Far from being a deprived child, my parents were unable to afford all the amazing toys I would've enjoyed when I was young. Regarding the Kenner released
Star Wars figures, for instance, I longed to own quite a few of vehicle playsets, especially the AT-AT, but when I was finally given the opportunity to buy one the choice was easy: I went for Boba Fett's Slave I. This is all worth mentioning as Singapore-based artist Carlo "
Wetworks" Cacho's newest original figure creation takes me right back to that time. Depicting a young boy, in shorts and a long sleeved shirt, wearing the classic Boba Fett helmet and carrying a tiny Slave I toy, I adore this "Bobett" design. A stylized interpretation of the character with a twist, this piece will debut at this year's Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention (STGCC) with an online release in
Cacho's online shop around the same time. Like previous pieces in the series, I'm sure "Bobett" will by cast in a very small resin run, hand-painted by the artist, and come on a cardback with special illustration by one of Cacho's artist friends. Needless to say, we can't wait for a full reveal!
