Dave Rapoza × Mondo’s “Masters of the Universe” Figures for MondoCon!

While the information leaked almost two months ago that Mondo would be releasing brand new Masters of the Universe figures in 1/6th scale, a couple of new production images from designer Dave Rapoza have come to light. With the He-Man and Skeletor prototypes from this new MOTU line set to be revealed at this year’s previously announced MondoCon, we can't wait to see what sculptor Ramirez Studios has crafted… Evolving the characters from the original Mattel toys and using some of the art from the original mini comics and packaging as reference, we understand that Mondo’s 12-inch tall renditions will have a bit more of a realistic take to them. We also know these deluxe figures will just be the beginning of an entire series, so it's real no surprise that we've spotted the below pictured laser rifle in Rapoza’s production sketches… which, if you can't place it, is Webstor’s weapon of choice, implying that this member of Skeletor’s Evil Warriors team might be in the offering shortly as well!
