Hugh Rose’s Custom Kidrobot Munny “Leatherface” from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre!

Inspired by the dark delvings of real-life killer and body snatcher Ed Gein, his crimes are overshadowed by his fictional counterpart, the chainsaw-wielding maniac known as Leatherface, who has become a mainstay in the cultural consciousness since being introduced in 1974’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Joining the pieces he did based on “Pinhead” from Hellraiser (here), “Billy” from Saw, and “Captain Spaulding” from House of 1,000 Corpses (here), UK-based artist Hugh Rose has carefully converted a vinyl Munny figure into a detail-laden interpretation of “Leatherface,” a hand-painted work of art that is most likely for the same art collector that commissioned the other pieces. Breath-taking as always, Hugh’s technique is impreccible.
