In a quick follow-up to the
recent full reveal of
Otto Björnik’s “Bai Chu the Bloodthirsty,” the debut version — the pictured “Red Pu-La Edition” — has been released. Limited to 35 pieces worldwide, this miniscule
jiangshi, or Chinese hopping vampire, stands 5½-inches tall and each one was impeccably cast in resin & hand-painted by the artist, with the fine details being painted with acrylic using a brush and then coated with a satin polymer varnish with UVLS. And an embedded magnet in the forehead of “Bai Chu” secretly attracts his “I Hunger” sacred scroll into place! A truly gorgeous work of art, this is available now for pre-order in
Björnik’s online shop for the insanely low price of $125 apiece.
