Are you a fan of die-cast super robots? So is J★RYU, it would seem…
Supposedly, J★RYU was…
[…] digging around in some boxes and came across this uber rare robot toy from my childhood — Cranston Force XV!! This is the only known Dominican made robot toy and features 15 ships that combine into the mighty Pimenbot CFJ! It still works after all these years despite the wear and tear I put it through. Since it's such a sought after piece and some other kid may love to own it, I decided to let it go[…] Goodbye Pimenbot CFJ, we had some good times together.Obviously inspired by the classic die-cast super robot figures from Japan, aka Chogokin, especially the mid-'80s era Voltron figures from Popy! Available at tonight's previously announced When Hell Freezes Over 2 group gallery exhibition, this is an absolutely show stealer.
When Hell Freezes Over 2 opens tonight (February 7th) with a reception from 7-10PM local time and runs through March 8th, 2015 at myplasticheart, 210 Forsyth St., New York, NY 10002.
