Stranger Factory Presents: Kathie Olivas, Scott Radke & Stephan Webb, 4.5

Stranger Factory continues its string of stellar exhibitions this April with a triple-bill from Circus Posterus favourites Kathie Olivas and Scott Radke, along with local Albuquerque phenom, Stephan Webb. Following her massive solo exhibition at SoHo's AFA Gallery last October, Kathie Olivas is going back to the basics. A collection of new studies, portraits, customs and original sculpts embracing a simplified approach, Scout takes the viewer on a journey for truth in a strange, albeit familiar, new world.

Scott Radke's whimsical forest sprites are internationally recognized, and with Interface, the artist will take his signature style and apply it to Circus Posterus's iconic Skelve platform. A new collection of enchanting, puckish creatures and critters will also take up residence in the gallery.

For Evolutionary End Game, Stephan Webb will be showcasing a new series of intricate bronze sculptures. A collision of harsh, geometric shapes and cold metals, Webb's creations underline the pervasiveness of nature and technology in our lives and encourages us to seek balance between the two.

Scout, Interface and Evolutionary End Game open April 5th through the 28th at Stranger Factory. An artists reception will be held on First Friday, so be sure to pop in if you find yourself in Albuquerque!
