"Deep Cuts" is a tribute to the classic 12" vinyl record medium!

For people that love the ol' snap, crackle and pop of vinyl records, the upcoming "Deep Cuts" exhibit at Guzu Gallery might be just for you! Every artist involved had to choose a beloved music icon, cult hero or legend and then create a 12" x 12" (album cover size) screen print that could only be $25 in price. While my wallet obviously loves shows with capped prices like this, I do tend to find tht it inhibits what the artist is capable of doing… since you don't want to put an extraordinary amount of time into something you might not make much money from. But time will tell if this show bucks that trend!

"Deep Cuts" opens on Thursday, March 7th with a reception from 7-10PM and the artwork will remain on display through April 7th, 2013 at Guzu Gallery, 5000 N Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78751.
