Looking for something to do on August 3rd... well the folks over at My Plastic Heart have just the thing to occupy your time as the are pleased to present their next group show “Signs of the Apocalypse”! This show will feature 30 amazing artists which includes: 64 Colors, Glenn Arthur, Jon Beer, Jonathan Bergeron, Mathew Curran, Dacosta!, DrilOne, Steven Daily, Christopher de Leon (TrueVisuals), Kelly Denato, Deph, Leontine Greenberg, Julia Griffin, KaNO, Ken Keirns, Jeremiah Ketner, Kit Lane, Yuri Leonov, Fang Ling Lee, Jason Limon, Aaron Meshon, Brent Nolasco, Ruel Pascal, Lou Pimentel, Matt Rota, Allison Sommers, Tatiana Suarez, Leonardo Villaseñor, Joseph Wu, and Chloe Yingst.
The show is being held at MPH and is curated by the one and only Lou Pimentel who had this to say about the show... “The Mayans believe that the world will end in 2012, and with so many things going wrong in the world; tsunamis, earthquakes, global warming, flocks of birds/schools of fish mysteriously buying the farm; one can’t help but think about it. What do you consider to be a sign of the Apocalypse? I invited some of my favorite artists to translate, and give life to the fears living in their heads.” Boy, that got my attention... and so did that epic flyer from Alison Summers and WIP pic from Joesph Wu above! The artists involved with this show will surley bring the heat... making it something you will not want to miss! "Signs of the Apocalypse" opens on August 3rd from 6-9pm with many of the artists in attendance. The exhibit runs from August 3rd to September 2nd.
