Luke Chueh's "Target" vinyl test pull revealed!
Spotted for the first time at SDCC 2011... Luke Chueh has once again teamed up with Munky King to release a new vinyl figure based on Luke's "Target" painting. With the help of Julie B. of Pretty In Plastic, the sculpt itself looks simply awesome and really captures Luke's 2D work in the 3D realm... and up until now, we have just seen the prototype. Today Munky King posted up a revealing photo of this very figure with the caption "Look what just arrived. First vinyl pull of Luke Chueh's target."... so we can see that this is coming closer to collectors hands! Will we see the full product drop at SDCC this year... who knows, but what I do know is that the uniqueness of this figure (has a base and backdrop) will be received with open arms by the designer toy community!
Oh, and look at what Luke just posted up... a nice shot of the paint master for this very project... his "Target" piece! This is the 'template' so to speak for the factory to replicate and follow... and as you can see from the image to the left, not much color is going on here... then again, his original painting is monochromatic as well! This actually opens the door to various colorways, and in my opinion, a red target would look extremely cool!
