Huck Gee's "Octo Samurai" & "Sushi Chef"

Artist Huck Gee has been posting up links here and there over the past few days via his Twitter account basically stating that he had a rather large private commission in the works and that all would be revealed... and indeed it has! Toronto based collector johnnyvinyl had contacted Huck a while back to take on this project, along with many others. He states "This piece was originally conceived as a stand-alone, but in the process of creating it, Huck decided that it should be paired with the Sushi Chef."... and I am glad it w2as! This set is truly fantastic and how cool is it?!?! I absolutely love the details in each piece and the companion chopped tentacles in the "Sushi basket" is just the cherry on top! One thing I am not certain of is why these two are standing so close together... as it appears that the Samurai had a run in with the Chef in a previous engagement :-) Stellar work once again from Huck... makes me wonder, what's next?!?!
