Camilla d'Errico's "Kuro" figure gets the glass treatment thanks to Bling Squared
So check this out, the folks over at Bling Squared - who hand sculpt toy and anime inspired glass charms - have always been huge fans of Camilla d'Errico's work... in fact they felt so strongly that she had influenced them that they sent her a unique hand crafted glass sculpture charm as a gift... and that's all it took (good business if you ask me). Camilla promptly emailed them and suggested the first collaboration - the Kuro in his 'Poodle' form.
The collaboration worked out amazingly - the Kuro design lent itself so well to glass and the techniques they had collected to make their own designs. So Bling Squared decided on a limited edition run of 250 pieces... and each one of these guys comes with a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. Just check out that video above to really get some appreciation on how each one is made individually! The Kuro was such a hit that last year they teamed up again to create Camilla's Kuro 'Specter' figure... and who knows what might be next? It's cool to see these figures get love in other artist mediums, and if you dig what you see you can pick them up from Camilla's online store HERE or directly from Bling Squared HERE!
