*RECAP* Jouwe Custom Show - Toy Art Gallery - Los Angeles 10/2/2010
Toy Art Gallery played host to yet another fantastic show of artistic talents as they showcased Marine Ramdhani’s Jouwe figure done up by artist from around the world. It's always such a pleasure to walk into a room and then see one shape be interpreted by so many different artists in so many different ways... it's really inspiring. From total and complete re-construction of the figure to a simple paint job on the surface keeping the original shape in tack... this show had it all.
The show was also graced by a few artist that came out to support their work and talk with the fans including Jeff McMillan and his awesome "Yeti" Jouwe, Ritzy P. and her 80's inspired "Hi-top Fade" Jouwe, and Megan Smithyman with her leather bound Egyptian inspired Jouwe. There were so many fantastic customs on hand and there are still a few left to pick up... so if interested head on over to the TAG site HERE and browse the goods, as well as stop on by the gallery itself as this show will be up until next month!
