On Site - Mini Skully Show @ Chuckwa
So this past weekend I had the great opportunity to travel 2 hours north of San Diego to visit the Mini Skully Show at Chuckwa, and I am glad that I did because not only is Chuckwa an awesome vinyl shop, but the show was amazing. The Mini-Skully toy from UrbanWarfair was the platform/inspiration for the pieces, and they were all so different. There were over 90 artists submitting work, and there were canvas work as well as custom toys. The opening reception. There was a live DJ plus refreshments, this event was done right, and the space designated for the show was huge, and did not feel crammed at all! I was able to take photos of pretty much every piece from the show, so below is just a taste of what I took, you can see the rest HERE. These pieces were phenomenal, and i totally dug them as a collective!
I also had pleasure to meet up with some artists that I follow on Twitter more specifically GodsAndMonsters, who showed me his custom skully he did for the show as well as some sneak peeks at his upcoming resin figure "King Link"! All in all it was an awesome event, put on fantastic by the great people at Chuckwa. If you have the opportunity to stop by and see all the pieces this show is running until June 5th so you have plenty of time to see some rad art in person! Also If anyone sees anything in the photos/video that they would like to purchase, they should email skullyshow@chuckwa.com
